Glass-PP Composite Floor Panel (15mm)

Glass-PP Composite Floor Panel (15mm)

Structural Integrity & High-Strength Lightweight Flooring

The Glass-PP Composite Floor Panel (15mm) is a precision-engineered structural solution developed to replace heavy plywood and metal decking in weight-critical environments. Weighing only 4.5 kg/m², this panel provides a 60-65% weight reduction compared to traditional timber, significantly increasing fuel efficiency and payload capacity in the transport sector. Featuring high-density polypropylene honeycomb cores fused to continuous glass-fiber skins, it offers exceptional point-load resistance and a "melt-bond" interface that is entirely immune to delamination and moisture-induced rot.

Glass-PP Composite Floor Panel (15mm)

Engineering for Medium-Duty Structural Loads

The Glass-PP Composite Floor Panel (15mm) is designed to bridge the gap between extreme lightweighting and high-load performance. By utilizing a high-density polypropylene honeycomb core, the panel achieves a rigid structure that resists deflection under localized pressure. This makes it an ideal engineering choice for flooring systems that require a high strength-to-weight ratio, such as mobile staging, event flooring, and specialized transport interiors.

Impact & Wear Resistance

In industrial and transport environments, floors are subjected to constant mechanical stress and abrasive contact. The continuous glass-fiber skins of our 15mm panels provide a hard-wearing, impact-resistant shield that prevents the cracking and splintering common in plywood or GRP. Even under significant impact, the thermoplastic nature of the polypropylene matrix absorbs energy without catastrophic failure, maintaining the structural safety of the assembly.

Moisture-Proof Performance for Life

Traditional wood-based floors are the primary failure point in many vehicles and structures due to water ingress and rot. Glass-PP is entirely inert; it does not absorb moisture, support mold growth, or degrade when exposed to standing water. This moisture-proof nature ensures that the floor maintains its original engineered weight and structural integrity for the entire life cycle of the vehicle or installation.

Processing & Precision Fitting

This material is highly optimized for modern fabrication. The panels can be machined with standard woodworking tools or high-precision CNC equipment to tolerances of ± 0.1 mm. Because the skins and core are both polypropylene-based, the panels can also be fusion-welded to create oversized, leak-proof floor surfaces or joined with mechanical fasteners without compromising the strength of the reinforcement fibers.

Practical Applications

Ideal for weight-sensitive structural flooring. Use the 15mm Glass-PP Floor Panel for lightweight scaffolding boards, RV and campervan flooring, and portable event platforms. Its Bfl-s1 fire certification and chemical resistance also make it suitable for use in industrial mezzanines and laboratory flooring where safety and hygiene are paramount.
