SRT Plastics PETG Opaque Recycled is a fully opaque PETG sheet made from recycled material — a sustainable choice without compromising on performance. This coloured copolyester combines excellent impact resistance with the trusted processing and thermoforming capabilities of standard PETG. By using recycled raw materials, it offers an environmentally responsible alternative to conventional PETG sheets.

The sheet can be effortlessly machined and vacuum formed without pre-drying, even for complex geometries with deep draws. This enables high levels of detail and fast production cycles. In addition, SRT Plastics PETG Opaque Recycled demonstrates good fire behaviour (self-extinguishing with low smoke emission) and offers strong chemical resistance to a wide range of substances.

Introduction

SRT Plastics PETG Opaque Recycled is a fully opaque PETG sheet made from recycled material — a sustainable solution that doesn’t compromise on performance. This coloured copolyester combines excellent impact resistance with the trusted processing and thermoforming capabilities of standard PETG. By using recycled raw materials, it provides an eco-conscious alternative to conventional PETG sheets.

The sheet is easy to machine and vacuum form without pre-drying, even for complex geometries with deep draws. This allows for high detail levels and short production cycles. Additionally, SRT Plastics PETG Opaque Recycled offers reliable fire behaviour (self-extinguishing with low smoke emission) and strong chemical resistance across a broad range of substances.

Applications

Suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, including shelving and storage systems, food display trays and dividers, vacuum-formed covers, and industrial applications such as machine housings, protective guards, and various technical components.

Exceptional Impact Resistance

The impact resistance of SRT Plastics PETG Opaque Recycled is twice that of high-impact acrylic. Despite its strength, the material remains easy to process, vacuum form, and bend into complex shapes.

Excellent Fire Behaviour

SRT Plastics PETG Opaque Recycled offers outstanding fire performance and, depending on thickness, complies with the European Building Standard EN13501-1. Its oxygen index is too low to sustain combustion without an active flame, making the material self-extinguishing under normal use without artificial oxygen supply.

In the event of a fire, the sheet will melt and create an opening that allows heat and smoke to escape. It does not contribute to flame propagation or fire spread. (See the Certificates tab for more information.)

Low Minimum Order Quantities

Minimum order quantities (MOQs) at SRT Plastics are kept low, depending on the required sheet width and selected product options. Custom thicknesses and dimensions are certainly possible. See the Stock and Production tabs for availability.
